AJAX editable <div> database update

I have a PHP page that displays information pulled from 3 different tables. I would like to make this information displayed in an editable <div>, and when the information is changed, the relevant table is updated for that record. In the attached example you will see the editable div for location. When the user types and the div loses focus, the relevant table in the database should be updated with the value and then the user should be notified with "Updated!". If you can do this successfully, there are opportunities for you to work on additional projects with me.
