Build me a database

Create an inventory system to track the items received and the items donated to students through the USFSM Food Pantry. This inventory system will be utilized by USFSM student volunteers and USFSM staff members to provide data reporting numbers to our partnering food bank and University stakeholders. Ultimately, I’d like for this inventory to connect with an online shopping cart that a student will create next semester. Here is a list of those who are a part of this project: · Allison Dinsmore (co-chair of project) · Bart Stucker (co-chair of project) · Michael Bush (USFSM student majoring in IT/Cybersecurity who will be working as a volunteer at USFSM through the AmeriCorps System) He will be working directly to support the opening of the food pantry during the summer of 2019. Part of his project is to provide guidance to the student creating the inventory database. · James McKenzie (USFSM student majoring in Hospitality who will be interning over the summer to support the opening of the food pantry during the summer of 2019. He is available to provide support to anyone working on a project for the food pantry. I’ve attached a spreadsheet that contains some fields of information I’m looking to capture. Basically, I’m looking to track the items coming into and out of the pantry so you’ll see the two tabs. The items going out of the pantry will be going to a student so we’d like to collect some additional information about the students using the pantry so I’ve included two questions/fields that I would help to do this (Employed, Household Size). The Item, Category, and Units on each of the tabs should connect. It would be nice to generate reports at the end of this. Reports such as showing how much was donated/which items were donated to students during a specific period of time (i.e., the month of January). Also, number of students served during the a specific period of time (i.e., the month of January).
