Hello, fellow freelancers. I was recently approached by a Brazilian health insurance company looking for someone to solve a problem they have at this moment: when a patient loses an exam it has to be done again if it's still needed by the doctor. This Brazilian health insurance company has a contract in which their patients pay a fixed price per month, so those needlessly duplicated exams are paid by the health insurance, leading to unneeded costs. Thus, I will need a software for this. Our need: - A software that can take these computer generated exams, create a backup (ideally in PDF) and store this backup in an online system. - The exams should be identified with enough information on it's automatically generated file name so that the exam can be identified without doubts without having to open the file. - There should be an access system based on four types of users: health insurance, diagnosis clinic, patient and specialty clinic. - At the diagnosis clinic, the software should be as integrated as possible with the existing diagnosis systems. It will create, with as little human interference as possible, the backup of the diagnosis machine output. There should be 35 different equipment that will need to be integrated, so we thought about a PDF printer that automatically creates a backup of the output and saves it, with daily or hourly synchronization with our servers. - The health insurance company will need to have access to the files in order to provide new copies of the exams, as requested. - The patient should have access to his previous exams through the systems, specially if he intends to go to a doctor who isn't part of the health insurance network. - The clinic will need to authenticate with our server using the health insurance ID of the patient to have access to it's previous exams. This authorization must be renewed at each consultation. - We will need a software and a database to manage all this. The solution you will provide: - We need a software to fix this problem of ours. - We thought about saving the output as PDF. - We are open to other solutions to this problem. Who we are looking for: - An experienced freelancer or team - Someone who knows much about printer output capture, PDF formatting, automated backups, access levels and distributed access. - Previous experience on medical imaging systems is a plus. - Experience in creating similar systems, even if for other applications, is a huge plus. - Speaking English is mandatory. - There's no need to speak Portuguese, as I own a translation company. As such, I can easily provide all localized text for the software. - Someone who can create a fully documented software. - Someone who can setup the software in a server and have it running. Posterior maintenance contracts are a real possibility. What's our budget: - The company is medium sized, with clients on a regional level and thousands of clients. We need to solve this endless money drain as soon as possible, so we are open to spending up to some thousands of dollars if it solves our problem in a definitive way. What's our deadline: - Ideally, the project should be turned over as soon as possible, as we are constantly losing money due to this problem. - Realistically, it can be turned over up to May 31 2016, fully working and implemented. 5 HI, what you are asking for is something similar to a patient medical records system with less functionalities. The user can upload and download medical diagnosis outputs in different formats: jpg, pdf. I read more than once your description and the only point I converned about is the integration with existing software/equipments of the diagnosis clinic because it requires the knwoledge about 35 different diagnosis machine output. The fastest solution for this integration is to create a virtual printer that send automatically those output to a remote service to store it, the machine user needs to enter only the identification data of the patient. About time, the end date you proposed could be a little bit strict, because we need at least 15/20 days to write the software requirements specification document that will be the base of our agreement. 5 Hello We are experienced in medical domain. Image processing and communication, especially image compression and standards like DICOM. We also have the medical standard compliance experience with DICOM and HL7, knows various libraries. It depends the study format, that we can generate a PDF file. Also, the diagnosis in clinics could be using a medical imaging workstation having DICOM interfaces; it will read DICOm images rather than PDF files. So, i will need more information about the task so that we can estimate the actual volume. Please message me if we can work on this. Good day.
