help with javascript in Knack Database

Hi
I have a script which updates a set of records in Knack Database. I have it all working except i need to pull in a value from a related table where a condition is true and then use that value to complete the update. I think it needs a json file but not sure.
This should be pretty simple for a JS guru which i am not.
I can provide the script and the related table information
