Hi I sure that not good way just update version because soon you will need to update it again (when new version will appears) I think i need to do audit of your issue - why spam is posted on forum -- where is hole i will find it and will fix it for example i will use captcha or something else sometime i use INViSIBLE captcha -- because people dont like annoing captcha code ir selections of pictures --- in any way i need to work with
