Mailchimp API to display lists user is on

I have a central CMS which has a list of users and for each user they may be subscribed to any of the lists in my Mailchimp account. I simply need to be able to send the email address into a function that will use the API to display a list of the "lists" that they are currently subscribed to.
Ideally I would like to see something like a full list of my "lists" and then a tick box next to ones they are actually present on.
I have keys etc to access account and need this done in a day or two
