Python expert needed: solve error with python script - remote only!

Hi,
a python script was created for me a year ago. This python script did the following: automatic upload of files that are located in one folder to a website portal.
For instance, I have a file called "[login to view URL]" on the drive W:\Portal Input
If I double click the portal python script it runs and louds it up to my client portal website. There, every client (they have number, 040, 060,118 and so on) gets his own pdf file uploaded. so file [login to view URL] for client 040 and file [login to view URL] for client 118.
My problem is the following: I did not change anything, that's why I am surprised that the error message "Fatal Error! Failed to execute script portal" occurs. The logic is still the same. Nothing has to be changed here.
My task for you:
1) task: fix this fatal error, so that I can run the script again
2) time: as soon as possible - critical task
