Hello, I specialise in Visual C++ and C/C++ on WIndows in general; which is what most of Windows is written in. Windows Explorer customisation is not as easy as developing as Windows Explorer-LIKE application(I already have this) which CAN be customized to include a side bar. Would you be interested in that option? Customizing Win Explorer it self- depending on the flavour of Windows(XP, Vista, 7,8 10 etc), can be a tough task and will not happen for your meager budget of 250 USD. Cheers

Hi, Can you give more information about the environment used here, like the OS used, is the folder local or on network. I can make a software that will show topmost window bar with icons that refer to destination folders. A config file (ex. JSON) will contain the collection of folders path to represent as icons.
