Convert Perl script to python

Long-time Perl user; started with it in 2003. At my current employer ported several scripts to Golang / Python. If the script / program is not super esoteric and/or long, it should take a day, maybe four days if it uses external libraries not found in Python.

I know both languages, and am available for work right now. Would like to see the Perl script to be translated.
