Hello, I have done I2C communication with DS1307. This chip looks similar. Could you please send me your connection diagram as to how did you attach it to Raspberry? I can write the necessary Python code to read and display get time, setTime. Power and battery alerts are not part of this Chip. you may need additional circuits to get trigger for battery and power alert. Moreover, if both units are powered from the same supply how can we detect alert? Anyway please come for chat to understand more...
