Hi there,
Your project sounds fun, and like an amazing opportunity! Fantasy is my bread and butter, and I’m actually working on a dragon series with a strong female protagonist. I feel I’d be a great candidate to help shape your anthology. I’ve attached a sample of my writing below, and have more to offer should you be interested!
Thank you,
Dani
Lanie hesitantly followed Ildrit, stepping out from the tent with her companion by her side. Bright, intense light assaulted her, making Lanie shield her eyes until they adjusted. She had expected to gaze upon a city that could pass for Dragonika—before it had fallen, that is. Eldara, the Village of Crystals, was not what she had imagined.
Countless abodes stretched out before her. Some were made from canvases similar to the tent that Lanie had emerged from, but most appeared to be constructed from thatch or wood. Fire pits were woven between these dwellings, their long, smoky fingers reaching up to the open skies. Directly across from where she stood was the gaping mouth of a cavern, a collection of impressive, pearly-white crystals jutting out from its jaws, making Lanie think of dragon’s teeth. The luminous structures glimmered eye catchingly in the sunlight’s rays. No wonder why they call it the Village of Crystals, she thought. Livestock was kept at random corners, wooden fences keeping them in place. There was the occasional hen running free, a flurry of feathers as it dodged the occasional passerby.
