Seamstresses - North London

We are a small start-up company marketing bespoke waistcoats, each of which is genuinely unique and made to order. Rather than outsource manufacture, we want to establish a flexible network of perhaps a dozen seamstresses, located locally to us in North London to fulfil demand. We know at the end of each week how many waistcoats have been ordered for the following week , (between 5 and max approx 30) and we will then email members of the network to ask how many (if any!) waistcoats they can commit to make in that given week, depending on their other work commitments. The materials for their chosen number of Waistcoats would be delivered to the seamstresses, on the Monday and the completed waistcoats would be collected on the following Monday. Payment would be made on collection, so no waiting for money! The estimated output is two Waistcoats per seamstress per day, based on the prototypes' manufacture times, and the proposed manufacturing fee for each waistcoat is £60. We believe this 'flexible network' approach offers seamstresses an attractive arrangement whereby they can regularly and reliably fill any available downtime in their work schedules with relatively small, manageable pieces of work, at competitive rates of pay.
