Using a matrix of numbers 1 to 73 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7...73) in a shape of a Star, there are patterns arising. all numbers from 1 to 73 equal 2701. I want a software that I can input values such as 1998 and 703 and the software will display this on the star it self and count how many arrangements are there for this configuration. This should be done both in a way where a number is used only 1 time.
I should be able to adjust the speed in which the display accrues and the software should always check the next relative configuration where the numbers are symmetrically aligned + closest the current arrangement, this will make the visual effect a smooth operation.
I want the software to create datasheet for the combinations.
In the future I might add more graphical looking design for the star, if integrating that will be costly please say so in advance as I will create the design first in that case.
Attaching a gif that illustrates the kind of result I want from the software, but this is only a small fraction of what should be produced.

This one excites me. Please confirm my understanding below,
Numbers from 1 to 73 will be placed in a matrix in a star shape as in the attached gif. Even and odd numbers will be put exterior and interior respectively as per attached gif.
User will input a number less than 2701. The other number will be auto computed as 2701 minus the first number.
Now start computing all patterns which generate the 2 numbers. For example,user inputs number 12. In this case, all combinations that can generate 12 will be in one color while the rest in the other e.g. mark 1,2,3 and 6 as black (totalling 12) while others totalling 2689 will be white. Then take the other combination e.g. 10 and 2 (totalling 12) as black and the rest as white and so on. When we are processing, the display will instantaneously change as well as data is being stored in db. DB stored data will be available for download as Excel data sheet.
