UDP Chat in local network (Linux & Windows)

I need a simple chat program written with Sockets in python using UDP Protocol. The followings are the key descriptions of the project: -There are 2 machines connected to a local WiFi network. One with Windows, the other with Ubuntu OS. -The server is going to run in Windows (7); -The clients will run on both Windows and Ubuntu machines. -All (multiple) clients have to be able to publish and receive messages to/from each other. -The scripts must be written with Python. -The programs need to include UDP (the User Datagram Protocol). - The python scripts should include the maximum possible coding flexibility and commenting in order to further modifications. Note: I am currently using the program in the attached. However, there are 2 major problems with them: 1. TCP has been used, not UDP. 2. I can run the client only in Ubuntu and not in Windows because it uses the 'select' function to read data. I receive the error in the attached picture.
