**Project Support: Civil 3D Road Design Expert (Austroads + Highway Alignment Design)** We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer with strong expertise in road/highway design, Civil 3D, geometric design, earthworks analysis, and Austroads standards to assist with an Australian university road design project. ### Required Skills • Strong experience with Autodesk Civil 3D • Highway and road alignment design experience • Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design • Horizontal and vertical curve design calculations • Earthworks quantity calculations and mass haul diagrams • Road profile and cross-section design • Transportation engineering and geometric design principles • Experience preparing engineering reports and technical documentation ### Project Scope The project involves designing a proposed two-lane bypass road around a township and evaluating alternative route alignments. ### Key Deliverables • Stakeholder identification and analysis • Route selection and justification • Horizontal alignment design • Vertical alignment and profile design • Manual calculations for: * Horizontal curves * Superelevation * Transition lengths * Vertical curves * Design checks • Chainage setup at 20m intervals • Earthworks calculations using Civil 3D • Mass haul diagram preparation • Engineering drawings: * Plan view * Longitudinal profile * Four typical cross-sections • Economic evaluation: * Net Present Worth (NPW) * Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) * Incremental BCR • Environmental and social impact assessment • Final recommendation report ### Preferred Experience • Transportation Engineering projects in Australia • Civil 3D corridor and surface modelling • Highway geometric design • Road construction quantity estimation • Infrastructure design assignments/reports ### Ideal Candidate • Can work independently • Strong Civil 3D modelling skills • Familiar with Austroads standards • Excellent engineering calculation skills • Able to explain methodology clearly • Can provide progress updates regularly ### To Apply, Please Answer: 1.
