I am looking for an experienced Structural/Mechanical Engineer to design a robust, high-performance solar pergola to be installed on a flat roof in Tripoli, Greece. This is a high-wind and snow-load area (altitude 650m), so structural integrity is the top priority. The Concept: A Triple-Tilt BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) structure designed to maximize winter yield and provide a shaded outdoor space. The structure will support 24 Huasun Himalaya HJT Bifacial Panels (approx. 450W-460W each). Key Specifications: Total Dimensions: 6.00m (Width) x 6.50m (Depth/Length). (about) Panel Dimensions: 1722mm x 1134mm x 30mm (~22kg each). Structure Material: Steel (IPE longitudinal rafters, RHS columns), hot-dip galvanized. Geometries (Triple-Tilt): Main Body: 15 Panels (3 rows of 5) at 15° tilt. Front Eave (Cantilever): 5 Panels at 45° tilt (extending beyond the front columns). Engineering Requirements: Static Analysis: The design must account for a cantilevered front "wing" and significant wind uplift. It must comply with Eurocode standards for wind/snow. Bifacial Optimization: The purlin layout must minimize shading on the back side of the bifacial cells. Deliverables Required: Full 3D CAD Model (Step, Parasolid, or SketchUp). 2D Fabrication Drawings (.DWG & .PDF) including: Detailed Layout with exact dimensions. Cross-sections showing heights (Rear: ~3.5m, Front: ~2.2m). Connection details (Gusset plates, bolting, and welding specs).
