CAKE Marketing Representative are situated within the overall Sales and Marketing Structure. As a [login to view URL] specialist you will be responsible for generating awareness of our online ordering and free marketing products.

CAKE Marketing Representative (CMR) will draw from a list of 400,000 current Sysco customers; from this list, CMR's will identify and engage with prospects who are a match for CAKE’s suite of restaurant technologies. Methods of outreach will include, but are not limited to: phone calls (primarily), emails, and social media outreach. CMR's are responsible for generating awareness of CAKE Order and working with Restaurant Owners to help them claim their free online ordering page.

CMR's will attain their awareness targets by way of excellent communication skills and by actively and continuously collaborating with our marketing and sales teams.

This position is being offered as an independent contractor. You will have the flexibility to work from home in the Vancouver or greater Vancouver area at first, but may be required to work out of a centralized office in the future.

Responsibilities of the Position

Proactively call from a “warm list” of existing customers to identify CAKE order prospects.

Engage decision makers of current customers or targeted leads to begin page registration process.

Pre-Qualify and cross sell prospects and schedule meetings with the appropriate sales representative

Collaborate with Sales management and the Marketing Department to create and deliver monthly campaigns to drive awareness.

Conduct outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone calls and/or email for cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.

Understand all aspects of CAKE solutions and continually follow current industry trends and the competitive landscape.

Understand and overcome potential client objections

Maintain a thorough database of all leads and contacts

Attend periodic sales training where applicable

Minimal travel required

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Position

A “hunter” mindset

A minimum of 2 years of lead generation or inside sales experience

Cold calling / prospecting experience, must be comfortable making 100+ calls a day.

A demonstrated ability to convert prospects and to secure in-person or web-based meetings for Sales Account Executives.

Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.

Customer relationship management experience ([login to view URL] experience strongly desired).

A demonstrated commitment to teamwork.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must exercise considerable judgment and independent action on a variety of matters requiring confidentiality and diplomacy.

Solid interpersonal skills.

The ability to exercise a considerable degree of patience.

Have a highly positive outlook.

Ability to inspire trust.

Resourcefulness and organizational skills.

Stress management skills.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires the ability to think quickly, while managing multiple tasks and ensuring prompt follow-up.

Familiarity with Apple OSX.
