Hi there, i understand that you need to breakdown a complex 3d model which you already have to smaller pieces to make silicon mould for manufacturing. i would like to discuss more about the model. how complex it is and how many pieces you sre expecting as more pieces will increase the number of silicon moulds and cost too. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. First at all I would should see the model you have... Second, even if I'll split the model into several parts, these parts will need to connect somehow - the connection should be permanent (glued) or dismantable? Or..., it is possible to design the silicone molds for different parts and after this to get the entire part/model you need at once, but I can't say before seeing the model... Do you have the 3d model? or physical model to make a reverse engineering on it?... (btw - are you aware the price could be adjusted accordingly with the complexity, right?...)
