I need someone to help me with a FPGA project. Step one is to make this board: [login to view URL] have some custom resolution capabilities. I think the Xilinx IP goes up to 8K resolution but I'm not sure what it supports or how much it can be customized.

If you are taking about the HDMI then the resolution is limited by the speed of the TMDS IO port. The highest input or output resolution that you can have is about 720P60. Higher resolutions are not possible. I am happy to discuss this more with you in case I have misunderstood what you are trying to do.

The type of video encoding needs to be specified and I'll be happy to discuss the rest of the project with you. I've worked with VGA video before on a Nexys3 board and with bigger projects projects. I have a background in image processing which is also useful in a task like this.
