I have a startup business based in Portland, Oregon. The goal is to provide a comprehensive online music theory curriculum in the form of website-supported, non- downloadable video lessons by music topic. Each lesson will be scripted and filmed in a home- studio setting, complete with proper lighting and sound. Most of the videos will require an overhead mounting of some type that will facilitate the filming of a piano keyboard from above. After filming, editing will include on-screen graphics and embedded windows to show music notes and animations, all of which need to be coordinated with the filmed content. The final length of each video will range from five to ten minutes.
• The initial project will produce six promotional video lessons. Over forty additional videos are currently planned, but the completed curriculum may ultimately be twice this number. The project will likely last over a year, resulting in the production of eight to ten hours of finalized video lessons.
• Applicants should have significant experience with digital video production, including lighting, sound, and editing. Because of the numerous post-filming graphics and animations, the applicant should be adept at using the software necessary to generate these effects. Applicants must also provide, or have access to, their own equipment.
• No musical training is necessary. For post-production editing, the business owner will provide the videographer with PDF music graphics that can be uploaded into the editing and animation programs. The scripting and post-production instructions will be also provided and supervised by the business owner.
• While the applicant will be credited for filming and post-production in each video, the final rights to the project, financial and otherwise, will lie exclusively with the business owner.
Hi,
Your project really interests me as I've done other projects inside recording studios. Please take a look at my portfolio and get back to me if you are interested. I live about 35-40 minutes away from you and can bring my editing rig to your location to more easily collaborate.
Regards,
Derek
