My Photography Project

Attn: Freelance photographers and videographers Re: Local ecommerce company seeks freelance photography and video work Date: June 6, 2017 Date required: as soon as possible Description: My name is John Fackoury and I run a company out of Kitchener called Kaleidosports which operates a number of sporting goods-related ecommerce stores that serves customers North America-wide, namely [login to view URL] (custom rec sports team uniforms) and [login to view URL] (custom hockey goalie equipment). We have several small projects we’re looking to take on this summer to enhance the product information available on our website. 1. Improved sizing chart for [login to view URL] • Target start: ASAP • Target completion: Mid-July • Description: We’re looking to build a sizing chart similar to this [login to view URL] where we bring in models of varying body sizes and photograph them wearing multiple shirt sizes 2. Product explainer videos for both [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] • Target start: ASAP • Target completion: We’ll work on as many videos as we can until late August • Description: We’re looking to build simple explainer videos for several products similar to the home page of this site [login to view URL] Work would take place at our retail store: 1601 Victoria St. N, Unit C204, Kitchener, Ontario N2B 3E6 What we’re looking for in a candidate: • We’re willing to work with separate freelancers for the photography and video projects, however, we prefer the same person for all projects for the sake of continuity • Editing ability may or may not be required: we haven’t decided if we will do this in-house yet or not (i.e. photo/video shooting ability is top priority) • We would need a freelancer with equipment available. We have limited equipment here, although we are willing to make a few small investments, such as a mic, if certain equipment is unavailable. Here is what we HAVE (everything else, including a camera, is required): o White backdrop o Backdrop stand o Basic lighting • Ability to produce content at a similar or better quality than the samples listed above • Timely work/responses (i.e. we don’t want to wait weeks at a time for email replies) • There may be an opportunity for future work (of similar nature) depending on how the projects turn out If interested: • Please send some work samples to give us an idea of your capabilities • Let us know: o Times/days you are available o Your rates o Equipment you have available • For the example sizing chart and explainer videos we listed above give us 1 quick thing you dislike and would improve with each (if you have another example you like better from another site send us a link to that too!)
