Simple Browser and App Game Development

Game Overview: The game is based on 'Maxwells Demon' thought experiment. The aim of the game is that the quantum demon cat gets the fish using entropy. The game will have three different difficulty levels: easy, moderate, and challenging. Each level will have a clock countdown, the player must complete the level in the quickest possible time and before the time runs out. Controls and Functionality: Movement of the demon cat will be controlled using the default keyboard controls for gaming as follows: • Open gates to the left or right: A, D or arrow keys • Zap: Space bar (zap) The game will also include a social sharing functionality, whereby players can share their score (level and time) on social channels. Level one (easy): The game starts with a box filled with mixed red and blue particles with a barrier dividing the box in half. The demon cat is positioned on top of the box with a lever that opens a gate in the barrier. The player needs to separate the fast-moving red particles from the slow-moving blue particles so that the side with the faster particles becomes hotter, resulting in an increase in pressure. The aim is therefore to get the fast-moving red particles on the left side of the barrier and the blue slow-moving particles on the right side of the barrier. Once completed successfully the barrier will move to the right due to the increase in pressure on the left side. This in turn will lift a bucket which contains fish, because the rope is tied to the barrier. Using the left arrow key or key ‘a’, the player controls the cat’s arm movement to open the gate in the barrier to the left, when a particle comes close to the barrier.
