Video Subscription Site - User/Payment Management - URGENT ASSISTANCE REQUIRED Background: We have had a new website created by a Freelancer in August 2018, to showcase and sell our unique video content to paying customers. The hosting was purchased via Hostinger, the freelancer built the site in WordPress and it is using a plug-in called Ultimate Membership Pro. The freelancer who worked on the site was incredibly difficult to communicate with, made numerous mistakes/errors, and struggled to follow simple instructions during the project, and as such was paid for the work and we will not work with him again. Current situation: We like the current look and feel of the site at the moment - but not the Members' account control panels. The user management process is a mess, and we have concerns regarding the PayPal payment platform. It would appear the product code entered to activate the Membership plug-in is invalid and our Freelancer never communicated this so the plug-in is still awaiting activation - whether is affects anything we do not know. During our initial tests the process of members joining the site and paying for chosen subscription packages seemed to work, but since our launch at the weekend we are having continuous problems. Users from the UK and Abroad are reporting that they are unable to complete PayPal payments. Users from various areas report they are unable to complete PayPal card payments as 'guests'. Users that have paid for a week's subscription report that they are unable to see our premium content. Some users report seeing a prompt regarding the plug-in being a Trial-version when joining the site. I can see when new users join our site but am not always receiving email notification of this. I am having to manually check our PayPal account against new users joining in order to ascertain whether they have paid. I am having to manually create 'transactions' against the user's orders to progress their order from Pending to Completed. We are urgently seeking a knowledgeable & experienced person with good communication skills to help us rectify these initial problems and re-establish some trust that our site is robust and actually works as originally intended/designed. For the right person there is a strong possibility that we will establish an ongoing relationship that could potentially lead to much more work.
