High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a recent and relatively unconventional method of training that offers an exercise concept based on workouts that have intense periods of activity alternating with intervals of less-intense activity or even comprising periods of complete rest. This idea of aerobic combined anaerobic workout was to develop a routine that consumes lesser amount of time and burns a greater amount of calories. Typically an exercising interval lasts for 15 minutes with rest time which is also convenient for people who get a lesser amount of time to dedicate to their health and exercise.
