I am a public policy professional with 8 years of experience in designing and implementing sustainable development interventions in various developing countries. While working on the USAID and FCDO funded projects worth over $500 Mn. I thoroughly researched and mapped the socio-economic apparatus and levers of intervention that were adaptive, cost-effective and were parallel to the development interests of the donors and government counterparts. At the same time, I rendered technical support to the government agencies and development partners. Many a time, my contributions sought inter-sectoral collaboration to formulate strategic roadmaps on empirical grounds. A more conducive approach to win donors interests and thereof, the requested grants. Yet I also specialised in the approval, implementation, impact evaluation and advocacy fronts. Following are some of the demonstrations of my development experience: |. Co-led the proposal of £150 Mn. FCDO grant “The Punjab Education Sector Programme (PESP)”: a five years project to be implemented by the Govt. of Punjab aiming to introduce a robust monitoring regime to drive the desired learning outcomes, enrolment indications and communities’ involvement. ||. Supervised the USAID’s “The Land Settlement & Digitisations of Merged Areas of Pakistan” Report on a $6 Mn. Fund that transitioned into a $300 Mn. USAID supported Mega Project, being implemented by the DAI United States and the Revenue & Estate Department KP. |||. Involved in the analysis, documentation and advocacy of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Act (ADR), 2020; approved by the Cabinet, Govt. of KP |V. Approved a $2 Mn grant for the Special Emphasis Programmes (SEPs) of UNDP’s Merged Areas Governance Project (MAGP) and additional support of PKR 10 Mn. from the government agencies in lieu of collaborative engagements; the SEPs are experimental programme designs, first of their kind in the region, seeking high impact against the SDG Targets of 2030. V. Drafted analysis reports and sector briefs on 3 years Annual Development Plans (ADPs) FY 22-25: PKR 67 Bn; the reports convalesced into Implementation Handbooks for the Departments of Health, Education, Industries and Tourism, the Govt. of KP. VI. Prepared Letters of Interest (LOI) and outlined MoUs for the provincial IT boards in Pakistan and empirical wings housed in the University of Connecticut and Georgia State University, United States. VII. Developed high-quality presentation decks for USAID and FCDO’s engagements with the implementation verticals In the last few years, I have delivered winning proposals, policy reports and working papers for top-notch consulting conglomerates, donors and line agencies with an emphasis on testing the status-quo, experimentation and learning.
