Our Quilt Show is named 2020: A Quilt Odyssey and we thought we’d play off the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" futuristic theme. The pictures illustrate where some of our thoughts have taken us. Quilt Up A Storm is our raffle quilt which will be prominently displayed at the show. We had thought about somehow superimposing the quilt pattern over the earth photo but we are open to different ideas. We probably have to do 2 logos because one is for printed materials such as the bookmarks, posters, postcards and the other is printed and/or embroidered on our award ribbons but they must be similar enough to be cohesive. We would like to end up with a vector file, png, jpeg, and hopefully photoshop pdf of each logo. Quilts are a traditional American craft usually done in geometrics so most of our members prefer a traditional aesthetic, however, many of us would like to see something new and different that appeals to our inner nerd without alienating the traditionalists. If you are up for the challenge, please submit a preliminary sketch of what you propose so the show committee can discuss it and offer guidance. Suggested colors: royal blue pms 2738, blue 072, reflex blue, deep purply blue=pantone pms 2735, 2745, or pms 661, aqua=pms 319, turquoise=process blue 2x, pms 299 2x, lavender=pms 528
