Hi There!

I'm a beauty blogger & youtube vlogger in need of a complete visual branding overhaul.

I need a cohesive visual identity that flows through my blog, all of my social accounts and into my videos. I'll need:
A Logo
Blog Header/Title Image
Website Favicon
Facebook Banner
Twitter Banner
YouTube Cover Image
Font choice to use on blog, images and videos.

I hope to have an ongoing relationship with the winning designer for future projects like media kits, graphics for video, web design etc.

So a little about 'my brand':

I'm primarily a beauty blogger with a background as a professional makeup artist, but I'm now diversifying my content to include food, travel and lifestyle. My demographic are mostly women aged 18-34 based between the USA, UK and Australia.

My whole vibe is very casual and fun, I'm here to help and educate my followers, but never judge or be 'better' than anyone else. I like to think of my website as a fun clubhouse for women to come over and drink wine and have girl talk. I don't take myself too seriously.

For the design:
I don't like very 'girly' design - I'm sure you know what a classic beauty blog looks like: The bloggers name in a handwritten calligraphic font with some swirly flowers around it - that's so BORING to me. I'm not a fan of soft 'watercolour' effect illustration and fonts.

Having said that I'm also not a big fan of clinical minimalism or overly masculine design.

Helpful I know...

I love colour, especially neon pastels (tasteful, not gaudy!). I love illustration and icon design, in fact I love the idea of including little illustrations of objects that are representative of my content - lipstick, eyeshadows, luggage, cakes - girly lifestyle things.

Although my 'brand name' is Sharon The Makeup Artist, I want the design to include my actual name 'Sharon Farrell' instead.

Dear Ms. Farrell, I write in concern. Two weeks ago I submitted a contest entry, along with comments, questions. As well, I sent additional questions for clarification. I did not hear from you at all. Eventually, my design was rejected, without any feedback or explanation. I notice many others did not receive comments as well. It seems contest should allow this courtesy to all contestants. Each of us are busy, just as you. Our precious time and talent serving your request needs your professional opinion, which will surely aid each of us in becoming better at what we do. Otherwise, I'm afraid some people being rejected without a professional communication may feel slighted and disrespected. I think this is fair.
