Hi: I have reviewed the macro and have noticed few things:1) In the dropdowns, there are a lot of blank entries. I believe these can be required. Only non-blank should show up. 2) In the "lists" tab, what is the purpose of the data in columns L & O? 3) In the "Lists" tab, you cannot enter anything below row 29, I believe that row 30 should be removed or moved to background. 4) In KPI tab, cell E13:15, error should not show up even though the sheet is blank. To make the macros work under all circumstances, re-writing them would be the best option for you. I can write the new macros and ensure that they work as desired. I am an excel guru and can readily fix your challenges. 1. the macro is overly reliant on "magic numbers" (aka. hard coded cell ranges) and uses a lot of steps to accomplish a simple update and copy. I can fix that for you fairly easily (I'll modify the sheets to have more tables, more names ranges, and leverage the power of excel to manage the lists better) 2. Modify the INSERT approach to use excel table functionality (which will automatically extend conditional formatting, etc, AND will replicate correctly defined cell formulae properly. ) Use the template in the LISTS sheet purely for DEFAULT VALUES. Leverage VBA to do any additional clean up and setup 3. Reset function: Fairly simple. 4. FIX the KPI formulae to not give DIV/0 errors (etc) (since that just looks unprofessional) 5. Make sure the sheet is correctly locked down, allowing manipulation via VBA but not by user (since the VBA can unprotect/reprotect the sheet at will!)

Thanks for giving such detailed requirements ! The functionality in your attached Excel sheet can be achieved with the same (in fact, better) results even WITHOUT a macro. Unless of course, you insist on using macros. Disadvantage of using macros is one need to keep touching the VB script, whenever changes are made to the excel file. If I may suggest with experience the following, no macros used but make any changes to the sheet, it will ALWAYS work properly: 1. allow users to add rows on a new line starting "Raised By" as the first column, do away with "Press for new RFI line" button. As soon as user starts entering data, conditional formatting can be applied. 2. the pie-charts on KPI sheet can be enhanced for better styling 3. all #DIV/0 and #REF etc. errors can be easily removed/suppressed Cheers, Mahesh (India)
