Modify existing Arduino Code

The code sends three lines of strings to a LCD panel
However because the length of the data stream varies
sometimes old data is left on the display
To correct this the length of the string send must always
be the same which is 20 characters
So each time the call is made to the LCD panel
the string needs to be looked at for the length
and spaces appended to the string to make it always equal
to twenty characters.
The bid is to modify the code to do this
