add auto sizing to uploading photos within my website - easy!

When you sell something on ebay or post a photo on facebook, their websites automatically resize them before they get posted. Mine just comes up with an error report saying "you're using more than 750kb, stop it" or words to that effect.

I'm also open to suggestions for inexpensive improvements...
