We are a Swiss startup currently looking to hire a freelance researcher for a project we are working on. Our product is in the legal field, specifically patent related, so we need a researcher that has knowledge and experience in this area. This first job is a small 2 hour test job, were we will be happy to hire several different people. Afterwards, if we are happy with the result, we will choose one researcher as our go to researcher for the rest of this project.
Requirements:
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Experience in legal research or a related field is preferred.
Current or past education in Law is beneficial.
Past research experience is a must.
Ability to work independently.
What we offer:
This test job is a paid job. Although the job is a test job, if you are successful there will be follow up jobs over the next few months. We are open, honest and friendly to work with and all speak fluent English and German. This job is all online and all communication can be done via email.
The Job:
We need you to research what a utility patent application in the USA looks like. When you know what it looks like we want you to present your results by providing a brief description of each of the key components of a patent application in terms that can be understood by a non legal professional. The final product should be a document that describes a) What are the key components of a patent application in the USA and b) a brief description of what goes into each of these key components. Please link any sources and resources you used. We expect you to spend a maximum of two hours on this task - if you finish in less than two hours thats fine, but do not spend more than two hours.
