UI/UX Designer

Three months contract position. Designer will bring strong capabilities in design and development of effective user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). Working closely with the Director of Product, Designer will provide highly analytical and creative ideas to the overall experience of the project. Responsibilities • Director of Product will provide detailed guidance around desired functionality, and designer will output a functional HTML concept. Ideally, this is catered to AngularJS development. • Understand the goals and expectations of the company, the business model and process to design / transform the user experience into a simple, fresh and visually engaging interaction. • Provide guidelines on data visualization best practices, to present actionable information, reports and charts. • Responsive Design, created for screens other than the computer desktop, with the appropriate design patterns and user gestures. • Ensure consistency in look and feel for the entire application • Designing and maintaining standards when using the platform, specifically around: o Button/icon use o Colour scheme o Layout and architectural requirements o Branding o Terminology and wording o Widgets o Forms o Tables o Alerts & notifications o Tooltips & popovers o Badges & labels o Navigation o Modal design/contexts o Interactivity and animation Skills • Twitter Bootstrap & responsive design • HTML • CSS • Photoshop • User Interface (UI) & User Experience (UX) • Strong understanding of design trends. • Strong understanding of technology trends • Ability to execute a cutting edge UI and UX design. • AngularJS compatibility or implementation (ideal) • Inspinia template experience (ideal)
