Machine Learning Algorithms in Excel / VBA

Write a series of machine learning Microsoft Excel "Visual Basic for Applications" functions. This project: - A basic function (i.e. neural network) that accepts training data (inputs and an output) - The number of hidden layers must be specifiable as an input - The network must be saved in a separate Excel Sheet, with the actual output and calculated output displayed on a graph, and the "R-squared" (i,e, goodness of fit value) displayed. - The function must arrive at a mathematical function, that can accept new inputs, and generate an output; or a mathematical function (inputs : outputs could be linear or non-linear) - A default algorithm must be employed, with a low error rate (you can decide which algorithm and error calculation method is the default). Future projects will include additional algorithms / error calculation methods (see below) - The function must be able to function as a time-series algorithm as well, which should not alter its architecture significantly. Future projects: - The basic function must be extensible (i.e. alternative algorithms and alternative error calculations, more than 1 output, etc.) - The alternative algorithms could include Hopfield networks, Self-organising maps, etc.) - Each additional algorithm will be a separate project, with a separate budget, but must extend the basic function. Requirements - Signing of a non-disclosure agreement - Signing of a non-compete agreement - All source code original and not copyrighted - Function properly documented, with diagrams if necessary to explain how the function works, in laymen's terms - my programming skills are limited, and I need to understand how the function works.
