VBA code in excel to filter a range of data based on criteria

I'm looking for VBA code to be written to filter my data range based on a selected column heading. For e.g. if you select MG1 # in cell G2, I would like the data range filtered by the column with the matching header (column c). I want it filtered so that there are only unique values. If MG2 is selected then the range is filtered by column F. Same applies for MG3 selection. Ideally I would like to apply this code to my actual model before we complete the project to ensure that I have copied and adjusted it correctly and that it works.
