The main map and all instructions are given.
Map 1 - Flood Risk zones in Oxford. This should display the different levels of flood risk and the surface water bodies in Oxford.
Map 2 - Transport infrastructure at Risk. This should overlay road and rail infrastructure on Map 1 to show the key transport routes which are likely to be affected across different flood zones.
Map 3 - Additional infrastructure at risk. Build in more detail to Map 2 with other infrastructure of your choice - e.g. important buildings, postcodes and electricity transmission lines at risk. You could also add other features from the InfrastructureShapefiles folder to enrich the information in your map.
[Map 4 (Optional): Enlarged map of a specific area in Oxford to improve the visibility of particular infrastructure features at risk. For example, Important Buildings appear quite small on the overall map, so it might be worth zooming-in to show some detail of buildings at risk. However, you can choose to zoom-in on any alternative infrastructure feature of your choice. This map does not require any elements (Scale Bar, North Arrow, Legend) but place it near the full 'parent' map in your report so that it makes sense to the reader].
*Write a short Status Report of no more than 250 words explaining the flood risks in Oxford and the extent of its potential impacts on built infrastructure. In your report you should:
Make suggestions about how future planning strategies and adaptations might help to mitigate these risks over the next 5 years.
Briefly discuss the limitations of the data.
Use readings, references and resources from other modules you have studied, as well as your own understanding of the issues to write your report.
