Design menu with two buttons for iPhone app

Little Wordsmith is an iPhone app that teaches kids how to spell simple words. For the next update of the app I want to create a simple menu that slides in on the right hand side. The menu will have two toggle buttons with icons that change when the user clicks on them. Both buttons should be about 160 x 160 pixels.
Button 1 will a change between uppercase and lowercase letters. So it needs two different images/looks that will indicate uppercase and lowercase letters.
Button 2 will change the difficulty of the game. There are 3 difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard. The button needs three different images/looks that indicates the different levels.
Background: A simple background is also needed, with width: 220 pixels and height: 640 pixels.
As the audience for the app is children around 6 years old it’s important that the button images are something a kid will understand.
