Clone and customize a website for eyeglass sales

I would like to use the basic look and functionality of an existing website (framesdirect), then customize it to meet our needs. Our site will need a backend database (which we can host on our own dedicated server). We will need the ability to sell eyeglasses (similar to the the way done on framesdirect). Much like clothing, eyeglasses have different sizes and color options, as well as required prescription information. We'd like to be able to easily add and discontinue eyeglass frames with an Admin module. We'd want a site we can customize images and promote specific brands. Some other sites which have similar features are zennioptical and 39dollarglasses. The website developed must be very mobile friendly, as over 70% of our customers use smart phones.
