Creating a seo friendly url with php

Hello
My url is [login to view URL]
i want it to be [login to view URL]
?id=3 will be replaced with the username of the id=24
I have tried it using .htaccess but certain word appear before the username.
for a example,
check [login to view URL]
there is a "Lead33" exist in url after press the "us email list" in the webpage
same problem arise in interior pages too.

Hello, did u tried to place RewriteBase / after RewriteEngine On in htaccess file. However if this is not working, we can use catch all in htaccess and handle it through php. Thanks.
