Need a location based app for iPhone and Android where a community of users post locations of items along with text, audio, photo and video.
App must automatically map users' location based on GPS coordinates and addressed provided.
Integrates with a users contacts for friends list and the ability to create groups of friends.
User creates a location: which is essentially a blog which is then updated with postings of text, audio, video, photos.
When a user creates a location they must create a visiting calendar. One of the views created will be of locations with open visiting hours.
Users will have a favorites list for locations and will be able to see their friends favorite locations.
Each location creator can add "location friends". Any location friend can post to the location blog.
Any user can visit a location and check in as a "Location Guest" and upload a comment along with photo, audio, video.
GPS coordinate maps integration for the locations.
Any user can "Claim Ownership" to a location by uploading to the system text document, photo, audio, or video of physical location ownership or habitation.
Bottom line: I can create a McDonalds location but McDonalds can come in and own the location with proof of ownership.
The site will be divided into categories of locations.
Searching and filtering of postings based on mobile GPS proximity or fixed location.
Users can register for an account or login using facebook or twitter.
Integration with facebook and twitter to update location status information.
Users can create public or private locations.
users can share postings on facebook and twitter. Users can also email a link to friend.
The apps will be free for download to search and view locations. Users will also be able to post but limited by number of photos, audio, and video users can upload. Users can upgrade to premium version for unlimited uploads.
Both iPhone and Android apps will need to work from the same mysql database so postings by one application is accessible by the other.
