We are developing an app project for doing slideshows with animated pictures. For rendering the slideshow to video, we're currently employing a simple hack solution where we capture the presentation layer of an UIView and saving it to video in realtime. This solution isn't very good however, it lags with large pictures and on older phones like Iphone 4, the resolution is low as well. What we want you to do is demonstrate if there is any way to do this in the background, maybe through AV Foundation, an OpenGL buffer or similar, and give us something we can look at so we can move forward in the project. Goal for this assignment: Write an example application that demonstrates how to render a a picture with an applied core animation and saving it to a video file. Particular things we are interested in is moving around in the picture and zooming in on various parts. Deliverables: Complete source code for an example project that demonstrates the desired effect. Detailed description of how it's done. We're still in the early stages of development and will require recurring assistance if this initial project goes well.
