Background NetOne is a leading technology services group based in Lusaka, Zambia. Since its inception is 2007 the group has grown to be a regional player in various technology offerings and has diversified offerings including ERP designs and implementations, enterprise IT hardware integration, Software services and Data Center design & optimisation. NetOne also owns and operates Zambia’s first Tier III carrier neutral data offering colocation services, infrastructure as a service and software as service. NetOne is now looking to increase its service offerings where the business will lead the development of various mobile applications both as Android and iOS Apps. These app’s will be both internal apps for extended functions of the business and its subsidiaries and will also drive development work for third party clients as needed. Job description: We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to produce and implement functional software solutions. The candidate will work with senior management to define the various software and application requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this role, the candidate should be able to work independently with little supervision. Responsibilities:  Develop high-quality software design and architecture  Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle  Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code  Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting  Review and debug code  Perform validation and verification testing  Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products  Document development phases and monitor systems  Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies  Be engaged with the local and head office teams in constant solution designs and provide recommendations to the steering committees on product enhancements as necessary.  Be responsible for the performance of the other members of the development teams, their performance and deliverables.
