zoom function on my custom made template editor

I have an editor for making images in A3, A4, A5, A6, A7 and A8 paper sizes online. However for bigger sizes such as A3, users have to scroll up-down and left and right. I don’t want this. I need a fix such that the frame(design area) for the image design should be zoom in. For very small sizes such as A8, instead a zoom out is needed. And when a user uploads an image to use for the design the image should be zoomed in or out as well. The aim of this fix is to make user experience good. Suggestions are welcomed. See attachment for illustration. Let me know if you need further information or explanation
