Simple QuickBooks Sales Front End

I am an intuit developer but am ruinning behind and may need assistance on a project if the price is right. I currently have a customer using QB Pro 2004 who needs a very simple double level database to use as a fonr end. Basically, they have 3 remote sites. They need an "administrative" database that will pull the customer and item list out of QB into the local DB (Access format), then create an export/update file that can be taken to each of the remote sites (by floppy unfortunately) and update the remote databases. The remote sites will not have the ability to edit or enter item or customer information, only sales orders. The remote sites basically are for order entry. They will enter all order information which then needs to be exported via floppy (probably tracked by export batches) and imported into QB via the administrative DB. I intend to have the remote data impotred into the admin database where it can be verified and edited before transferring into QB. The only catch know of is that the customer uses cash & credit pricing by item, so unless someone has a better idea, we will need to add a field at the administrative DB level where the cash price can be added and maintained - a QB custom field could be used, but I wasn't sure you could pull the value of a custom field when querying. No code has been written yet. A more complete spec can be defined if anyone is interested. The program(s) should be developed in MS Access 2000 or later, or VB with an access backend. This should be a relatively simple project. Anyone interested please email respond ASAP with a ballpark of what you think this might cost to do. I realize it can only be a ballpark due to the minimal specs at this time. Also a timeframe whether it would be available within days, weeks, months based on your current loads. You will be interfacing with me, a 10year programmer. UPDATE: 4/8/04 - I will develop a more complete spec and post it in the next couple days to allow more complete nuderstanding of scope, etc. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): Installer not necessary if completed in Access with standard QB SDK 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows 98-XP stand alone systems
