Ajax interactive web development -- need team members!

I have immediate need for a programmer or team of programmers who can put together a public-facing multimedia interactive website along the following parameters. * Support the playback of videos (this is the main public function) within a browser window -- similar to YouTube with thumbnails for other videos on the page * Track visitor's progress through the videos * Lead a new visitor through a sign-up process to become a registered user * "Back office" for registered users, with the biggest requirement being an email autoresponder -- users can upload their friend's email addresses (up to a 10-address limit) to invite them to watch certain videos * REST-ful url support would be great, because we need easy URLs that reference a person's username, e.g. [login to view URL] ; using subdomains would be acceptable too (e.g. [login to view URL]) * Work from a design template (most likely a Photoshop project file) * more details can be provided upon request TIMELINE: Ideal: usable test/demo site to go live by mid-December. 2 weeks of testing and revisions, followed by "public beta" by January 2nd, 2008. COMMUNICATION AND MILESTONES: Programmer(s) must be able to commit to definite communication availabilities, i.e. at least 2 hours per day, 5 days a week, in which you can definitely be reached. Email and instant message work fine for this purpose. Our preference is for 1-week mini-milestones. That is, at the end of each week one or more new features become fully functional and usable. Must report to project manager twice a week and work with remote graphic designer. DELIVERABLES: Upload all source code and all executables (if applicable) to an FTP location by the required deadline (to be agreed upon). Thanks! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Destination for server-run code: Linux / Apache with support for Python, Ruby, and potentially Perl and PHP. Highest preference is for Ruby (RUBY ON RAILS highly desired) and Python (with Django framework), but other technologies can be acceptable with the proper justification. Browser-run code (e.g. javascript, CSS) must be fully functional on all 6.0+ versions of IE and all 1.x and 2.x versions of Firefox.
