We need a programmer for hire that can create a custom program for a manufacturer in Winchester, VA that is using a program called Omega Cube. They are not happy with the program and may want to keep some of the functionality of the original program, but are interested in building a whole new one that can do everything that they need it to do. We would prefer this to be done using LiteCode. The programmer would have to have a Zoom / GoToMeeting with the client first and would need to look at the original program, and speak with the end client for details on what they need. We would expect this to go in three phases, alpha, beta, and final stage with payments along the way. Here are some notes on what we have so far from a previous developer who looked at it but had to bow out due to health issues. Notes: You need a faster, more efficient database: that means the new app should be tightly organized, with a more standard setup for data and UI. The old app's has an unusually large number of screens. I see 20 Functional Areas. Each has several screens that it links to. Also 16 Menus and around 40 Alerts. Here is a list of the menu items that they don’t use in Omegacube. Cutlist Customer Portal Dashboard Developer Studio EDI Gage Management Mobile apps – We would like to be able to use some of them, but they don’t work well, so we don’t use them QA Quality Quality Control Planning – We don’t currently use this, but would like to at some point to be able to use the program for scheduling Project Tools and Fixture Management Vendor Portal There are menu items in all caps that were created by us, they might not be necessary in your design, but it is the only way for me to turn certain features on and off for security purposes in this system. We can arrange for an initial meeting with the client to discuss details and also for access to the original system, so that they can look at it first before doing an estimate. I think an initial meeting and discussion with the end client is crucial and necessary prior to accessing the old system, so they know what the pain points are and what they would expect moving forward.
