StudentGator - Requirements Introduction We are trying to build a website “[login to view URL]” to help students around the world to search for the courses that fits their need and apply to more than a university through our website without any fees. Our website is based on WordPress and a few plugins have been used within the website. We are now looking for plugin to search for programs and universities and apply for those programs. We think that “Institutions Directory” would be good fit to our needs. Required changes to “Institutions Directory” 1. Extend/edit search/filtration criteria to the following a. Location instead of City b. Name “Programs” instead of “tags” c. Name “Discipline” instead of “category”. d. Remove the Zip code. e. Add Level (BSc, Maser, PhD) f. Add tuition fees range g. The ability to add extra filtration criteria in future ? Figure 1 Example of list of programs appears in the university page 2. List of the programs that is related to each university and based on the “Programs” search results to appear on the university page. This should be dynamic, (i.e. the list of the programs changes as the University changes and the selected program change). All programs should appear on the university page if no program has been selected, almost 5 programs should appear initially and the full list of programs should be extended if the user clicked on a “See More Programs” button. Figure 1 shows an example of how the programs appears on the university page. After showing the list of the programs, an “Apply Now” button should appear to the user next to the program. When clicking on “Apply Now”, a form should appear to the user to fill his details in order to apply to this program. The form should be something similar to the form in Figure 2 where the program and the university that has been selected should be already filled in the form. It is important to be able to change the flexibility to change the fields of this form later by ourselves. The Typical fields of the form could be found in this link: [login to view URL] 4. The “Submit” button should send a pdf with all details to a specified email that can be changed or have the application within the plugin dashboard.
