**NO SOURCE CODE for existing 2 online catalogues which need to be consolidated**
Background:
We operate in an industry that sells wholesale which means we want a site that showcases our product catalogue
we currently represent 2 suppliers in the UK, therefore want their 2 product catalogues to be put into one, instead of having to refer customers to two separate sites when they are interested in our products
As the two sites do not belong to us, we do not have source code but do have all the images, product data and pricing etc available in good formats to be uploaded to the new online catalogue
we do not want any payment / order processing. Customers simply use the site to browse our catalogue
High level specification :
Allows customers to browse c. 200 products across c. 7 categories e.g. electronics, homeware
Allows customers to view product profile e.g. dimensions , colours
Self registration process
Customer log in e.g. access pricing, additional imagery, print templates and product specifications (which can be supplied in PDF / JPEG docs)
Admin log in e.g. amend price lists , add and remove products and categories, manage user access, upload/remove PDFs mentioned above
MI and Reporting - be able to understand how often products are viewed/clicked etc
Static pages - to include about us, contact us, accreditations
Additional functionality - show customers products they have recently viewed, allow them to compare a number of product specifications
Allow customers to search for products
Ability to view without logging in e.g. browse all products without pricing, view product videos c.15-20 approx 1 min long , multiple product images
Landing page functionality - to be discussed further e.g. revolving banner , promotions , best sellers
Being able to manage changes to the site daily e.g. promotional codes/sales/change banner/best seller/offers of the month
filter products by price, colour, category etc
Additional notes:
we do have a competitor website in mind if you need an example of the overall look and feel
completion asap
UK Domain
Question - we want to be able to allow those logged in to track their orders based on data inputted into our existing ERP system - please price this separately as it is not critical
current catalogues are wordpress, happy to stick to this or change to something you advise instead
