Hello Thank you for adding a more comprehensive introduction to the subtext for your book. From a personal point of view I woudl find it extremely interesting to work on such a text as one of my principal rewards as a full-time editor and proofreader is the volume of new knowledge I get to absorb on a more than superficial basis. I will not make misleading claims to have worked on many other religious texts in order to increase my chances with you, but I have worked on texts for numerous religions and would class myself as a Christian agnostic, which I hope will not offend you. That position comes more from a lack of religious education as opposed to set-in-stone views. On the editing front, I tend not to work on an hourly basis as this can be open to abuse. Instead I prefer to work on a per-word basis so that budgets can be agreed and confirmed. In this instance my rate would be CA$35.00/1,000 words of edited text. I am happy to provide samples of my editing work if that would be of interest. My current workload woudl exclude me from being able to make a start for 14 days, but you do have the guarantee that I am not part of a team and that you would always be in direct contact with your chosen editor.
