Design a Logo & Application Icon for Social Networking Application

Seeking a Logo & Application Icon for a mobile social networking application. The application is called "Columbo" and is based around the concepts of discovering, recommending and reviewing locations. A main feature of the application is the ability to filter users based on specific criteria, if some representation of filtering could be used this would be a plus. We would like the logo to consist of an icon to signify what the application does and the word "Columbo" in written text. The icon should be developed from the logo, without the text "Columbo", and should be simplistic, clean and representative of the applications features. We would also like the icon to fall in-line with the design styles of other social networking application icons. We would like to communicate to our users that we are simple, clean, efficient and will aid their lives through use of our application. Target Audience: Male & Female, Ages 16-35, Travelers & Holidaymakers & Adventure Seekers. Design Preferences: Nothing too brightly coloured, preference towards blue, white & black but open to other suggestions and designs. Media: The logo and icon will be featured on websites, social media platforms such as facebook, twitter & instagram.
