Joomla page not found errors

I have a site with Joomla 1.0.8 and have been having a strange problem since moving to a new server - in teh admin area I keep getting page not found errors. For example, if I wrie an artile, or add a menu or upload an image, I will sometimes (not always) get the error. Then I have to refresh and try again. Eventually it will work.
I think this maybe be an issue with cPanel or some configuration issue? I am seeing this same behavior with other CMS type sites on the server - like Zen cart
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
